A 78-year-old woman has been arrested in Missouri for her third bank robbery. The lady, named Bonnie Gooch, tried to make a loot last week, but did so with manners. For example, according to the police, she gave a note to the desk clerk with “thanks, sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you”.
TWO PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS
The now experienced robber was first arrested in 1977 at the age of 40. That was when she tried to rob a bank in California. In 2020 she made another attempt, this time in the town of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. That earned her a suspended prison sentence, which expired in November 2021.
SORRY NOTE
Bonnie apparently hadn’t had enough of the robberies. According to the authorities, she allegedly demanded “13,000 small bills” from a bank last week . She allegedly hit the counter and asked if the employee could hurry up, only to hand the person the apology note.
PICKED UP IN THE CAR
Bonnie was picked up by the police near the location of the robbery in her car. They indicated that she smelled of alcohol and that the bills were scattered on the floor of the car. As far as is known, no (mental) disorders have been diagnosed with her.
The woman is currently on bail of $25,000. If paid, she will be free to await her trial.
