Foreign expats aged 60 and over can now register for a Covid19 vaccination, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tanee Sangrat announced during a visit to the vaccination center at Bang Sue Grand Station

The State Department announced that foreigners born in or before 1961 can register for a shot at https://forms.gle/ULAqvx8eiDoX3v5Q9.

Those who live in Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon are eligible. They get their shot at the Bang Sue Grand Station.

Foreigners 75 and older can also walk in daily between 9 am and 4 pm to register and get a shot. Initially, however, the number of walk-ins will be limited.

“We expect to make arrangements for 200 to 300 foreigners a day,” Tanee said. “And soon we will expand the pre-registration service to other groups of foreigners.”

He added that Health Minister Anutin Charvirakul also visited the centre yesterday and urged relevant authorities to start vaccinating foreign residents. Anutin said this was in line with government policy to vaccinate as many people as possible to contain the spread of Covid-19.

“The minister also met expatriates who had arrived to get their shots, many of whom were grateful to be given one,” Tanee said.
