Family quarrel in Pattaya ends in a stabbing after the invited drinks
Yesterday afternoon, a 42-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed outside his home in Pattaya. Police in this coastal town were notified of the incident at 5 a.m. at a house in the Nongprue community. Emergency services, police and Pattaya News arrived on the scene to find Songklod Noipojjana injured in front of his home.
He had sustained serious injuries from stab wounds to his abdomen and was bleeding profusely. He was rushed to a local hospital. The suspect, Amnart Buachuen, 42, was still in the house. Police seized a kitchen knife at the scene.
Kanissara Mahamat, the sister of the injured man, 32, told police: “The suspect and his mother-in-law live in the house with us. Amnart and my brother were drinking heavily when they suddenly started fighting, I have no idea what caused the stabbing.”
Amnart was taken to the police station for further legal action. He showed no remorse for what he had done and tried to challenge bystanders, police, reporters and relatives of the injured man to a fight during his arrest.
Amnart is currently behind bars at the police station pending further legal action.
