Battered to death in his dynamo shop Banglamung police were called to a residence after a man was found dead in the toilet with his face covered. Mr Wasan Kamweerai had been struck with a hard object and then strangled with an electric wire before a plastic bag was put over his face.

Investigators interviewed the wife Mrs Kanita who initially denied knowing anything about the matter. She said her hubby was a hard drinker who got on her nerves sometimes, but she denied knowing anything about the grisly circumstances. However, information was then received that the wife had offered 100,000 baht to Sarang Tangate on a contract killing basis. This villain had carried out the dastardly deed but then demanded 20,000 baht more to dispose of the corpse. Mrs Kanita did not have any more cash and the body was hidden in the toilet where it rapidly deteriorated. A sub poena was obtained from the court and the alleged contract killer was soon under lock and key as well. He admitted murdering Mr Wasan in his spare parts auto shop. Police believe Mrs Kanita had her husband murdered to get hold of his wealth as she was weary of waiting for him to move on to another plane of existence without a helping hand.

German ex cop found shot

Heinrich Herman Friedrich, aged 63, was found dead in the Nong Palai sub-district lying in a street with gunshot wounds. Neighbours said he had gone out to buy beer at the local convenience store and was killed by a masked gunman on a bike as he walked back to his home. Some beers in a carrier bag were found with the body. The dead man?s girlfriend Miss Nanta Ludlee, 25, said she had no idea why he had been killed in this brutal fashion as he had no enemies that she knew of. Police said there were four bullets in the body and that they suspected a contract killing for some reason. It was possible Mr Friedrich had made enemies because of his previous job back in Europe.

Faithful dog guards corpse
