Hundreds of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip early this morning, hitting Tel Aviv, one of the largest cities in Israel. According to Israeli emergency services, 22 people have been killed so far due to the attacks. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war on Palestinian Hamas. “Our enemy will pay a price never seen before.” Hamas is fighting the occupation of Palestine.
“L’armée israélienne ne va vraisemblablement pas lancer une opération d’envergure avant d’avoir libéré ces 53 otages israéliens en détresse dans la bande de Gaza. C’est la priorité de l’Etat-Major à l’heure actuelle”

During the attacks, which left hundreds of civilians injured and traumatized, dozens of Hamas fighters crossed the heavily guarded Gaza Strip border. The Gaza Strip became Hamas territory after a brief civil war between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas in 2007. Mohammed Deif, one of Hamas’s leaders, claimed the rocket attacks on behalf of Hamas. “This is the day of the great battle to end the last occupation on earth ,” says Deif. In the meantime, more than twenty dead and hundreds of injured have been found.
