Mia Khalifa To Have Surgery On Her Breast After Hockey Puck Injury

Must read

Former adult film star Mia Khalifa is to undergo surgery on her breast after she was hit by an ice hockey puck while watching a game.

The adult actress turned sports presenter was supporting her team, the Washington Capitals, during one of their play-off games against Tampa Bay Lightning when she was struck by a stray puck that flew into the crowd.

The rubber disk is estimated to have been travelling at around 80mph when it struck her, and it ruptured an implant in her left breast.

Despite that, Khalifa, who is a huge sports fan, has decided to keep the puck as a souvenir. At least some good has come from her pain.

She posted on Instagram: “I got hit in the boob with a puck during the game, and I’m 80% sure it ruptured an implant. But the good news is, I got a game used puck from a Capitals Stanley cup playoff game. Worth it.”

Hmm, is surgery on your breast worth it to get a game puck from an NHL pay-off game? You’d have to be a pretty intense and serious fanatic to think that. Fair play to her for remaining positive though.

Either way, she now has to go and have surgery to repair the damage done by the puck. She is upbeat about it and thinks that it’s not the most painful hockey related injury she’s ever suffered.

She said: “I’ve seen my team (Washington Capitals) lose before, that’s a lot more painful.”

Again, you have to admire her hardiness.

She explained what happened to her to the Daily Star “I was sitting behind the glass during a game, and it came shooting over the glass and it caught me so off guard and I had no idea it was coming.

“I grabbed my chest and I didn’t want to let go, because I felt like if I did let go blood was going to be everywhere.

“I got to take it home, it was the single greatest souvenir any hockey fan can get: a game-used puck that comes at you and hits you.

“They’re really heavy, it’s pure rubber, they go at about 80mph. My left breast is slightly deflated now, and I will be getting it fixed next year.”

Well, it won’t be much consolation, but there is a small chance that the implant took some of the impact of the blow away from it. It might have shattered bones in her chest if it wasn’t there.

There’s more good news too – her beloved Washington Capitals went on to win the Stanley Cup and become NHL champions.

That probably makes the pain more bearable.
