Motorcyclist gets into an argument with his girlfriend in Chonburi and kills himself against a tour bus
A 27-year-old heavy motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing into a bus in Chonburi’s main district.
Don Hualor Police were notified of the accident that occurred on Nong Maidang Road in Nong Maidang Sub-district.
Emergency services arrived and found a damaged engine trapped under a tour bus. The body of the unfortunate rider, 27-year-old Loei Nattawut Sombatpoe, was found not far away. His girlfriend cried nearby and later passed out and had to get medical attention.
The 42-year-old bus driver, Wichean Khaosaard, said: “Khun Nattawut was driving at a high speed and tried to overtake one other vehicle and then collided head-on with my bus.”
A witness, Padoongsak Toopjunda, 40, said: “Nattawut had an argument with his girlfriend just before the accident, with both sides tense and emotional. When he drove away, he was probably dealing with the emotions of the fight.”
The details of what was being discussed were not disclosed by Padoongsak or the authorities.
Don Hualor Police are reviewing CCTV footage in the area and are continuing their investigation for further possible legal action.
