Officials urge restaurant patrons in Pattaya to get tested for Covid-19

Chonburi provincial health service has called on anyone who has visited a restaurant in Pattaya to get tested for Covid-19 after an outbreak was identified.

The appeal was published yesterday by the Chon Buri Public Health Office and urges anyone who has eaten or dined at the Puyai Note Wild Food Restaurant to use an antigen testing kit.

The restaurant at 54 Sukhumvit-Pattaya Road in Bang Lamung has been identified as a source of Covid-19, putting diners who visited the restaurant between November 5 and 12 at risk of infection. The outbreak warning comes after a recent similar announcement that anyone who attends a “gentlemen’s club” in Jomtien must be tested.

The health department instructed anyone who ate in the restaurant or came into close contact with restaurant staff to test for Covid-19 with an ATK. They also warn that anyone who has bought food from the restaurant could also be at risk for Covid19 infection and are being instructed to monitor themselves closely for signs of infection.

Anyone who has questions or needs more information or assistance about the risk of contamination from the restaurant or other topics can contact the health department of Chon Buri between 08:30 and 21:00 on 038-119-777.
