The cabinet has approved a budget of 2.3 billion Baht for phase 3 clinical trials and production of the ChulaCov19 mRNA vaccine, the plv said. government spokesman, Ratchada Thanadirek, announced yesterday.
At the meeting, the cabinet also approved in principle a budget of no more than 1.3 billion THB for research and development of the Baiya vaccine.
The main goal is to enable Thailand to produce a vaccine on its own so that it can have at least 60 million doses on hand each year to provide Thai immunity against Covid19 coronavirus.
