A motorist has been convicted of taking 150 driving tests for other people. She took theory and practical exams across the UK from 2018 to 2020, including in Swansea, Birmingham and London.
According to The Daily Mail, 29-year-old Inderjeet Kaur mainly helped candidates who could not speak or read English. In return, she asked for money. She was caught when British Examination Board staff suspected she was impersonating other candidates. They alerted the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), which launched an investigation by Tarian, an organization fighting organized crime.
During the court trial, Kaur admitted to being guilty. She was sentenced to eight months in prison. “The driving licenses of drivers who fraudulently obtained licenses through Kaur are being revoked,” the DVSA reports.

According to DVSA detective Steven Maloney, Kaur was endangering lives by passing exams for unqualified drivers. “The crimes she has committed endanger innocent road users. Thanks to Kaur, uneducated and dangerous drivers drive on the road, with apparently legitimate permits. Safety is our number one priority. Those who repeatedly endanger that are not allowed there just like that.” get away with it and have to be arrested.”
