A video is circulating on social media in which a young man saves a Belgian woman from the train tracks at the South Station in Brussels. The video shows how the young man lifts the woman and brings her to safety.
The woman wanted to commit suicide and stood on the track, waiting for the train. The man doesn’t hesitate for a second when he sees the woman and runs towards her. In the video, you can see that the woman is still raising her hand, implying that she does not want to be helped. The young man lifts her up and brings the woman to safety. After his heroic deed, he reassures her and sits down with her to comfort her.
The video is shared via Instagram on the Cestmocro platform, among other things. The glowing comments under the video keep pouring in. Thus, one responds: “Whoever kills one man is as if he had killed all mankind, and he who saves one’s life is as if he had saved all mankind. {5:32}.” Another says that taking a life is easy, but saving a life is a godsend. Many people emphasize the heroic deeds of the young man. For example, one commented: “I don’t know if people realize that he also risked his own life just now to save someone.”
Others are very surprised at the other bystanders. “Why does everything have to be filmed?” one user responds. “I never understand why 99% of people do nothing in such situations,” says another. Finally, someone says that the person who filmed this probably also recorded the collision. “How sick are you in your resins?”
