Zendaya And Squid Game Star Lee Jung-jae Make Emmy History
Zendaya made history at the 74th Emmy Awards. Zendaya received the Best Actress award for her second time as Rue in Euphoria. She is the first black woman and the youngest person ever to win this award twice.

Zendaya, who is trending on Twitter for her performance and her beautiful outfit, said in a speech that she was very honoured and thanked the cast: “Thank you for making it such a safe place to make this very difficult show.” In addition, she had a powerful message for anyone who – like her character Rue – struggles with addiction. “My greatest wish for ‘Euphoria’ was that it could help people heal.”

Lee Jung-jae also made history. He won an award for his leading role in Squid Game, making him the first non-English speaking winner. During the speech, he thanked the creators for bringing “realistic problems that everyone faces” to life . Hwang Dong-hyuk, director of the popular Korean series, was also awarded.
Lizzo also managed to win a prize during the Emmys. She received an Emmy for her reality series Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, in which 13 dancers compete for a spot on stage alongside Lizzo.

The most important prize of the evening, namely that for best drama series, this year went to the American series Succession from HBO. The series, which was awarded the winner in four categories, was the big winner of the evening anyway.
