The Nanterre prosecutor‘s office reports that three baby bodies have been found in a cellar of a former home of a deceased gynaecologist in the French commune of Ville-d’Avray, about ten kilometres from the capital Paris. It is not yet clear how long the bodies have been there.
The baby bodies were found in the home of a former gynaecologist who died in 2015 and were in sealed buckets. An unsuspecting worker who came to empty the uninhabited house discovered the children. According to the AD, the man went into shock and had to be treated by the fire service.
French authorities have launched an investigation into the babies’ cause of death. The coroner will have to determine whether it concerns newborn children or fetuses. The investigation will also have to show how long the baby bodies have been lying there.
