The White House is ready for Christmas. The US President’s residence in Washington is decorated for the holidays, and there was a presentation today by First Lady Jill Biden. The theme this year is ‘gifts from the heart’.
The theme is reflected in several rooms in the building. In the library, for example, ‘the gift of learning is discussed and in the dining room it is ‘the gift of the family’.
This year 41 Christmas trees have been decorated, 180 meters of ribbon have been used and 300 candles are lit. There are also 79,000 Christmas lights hung. All this by a hundred volunteers, who spent a week on it.
