Alec Baldwin and the makers of the film Rust have reached a settlement with the family of Halyna Hutchins, the camerawoman who was shot dead by the actor during the filming. The shooting of the film will also resume in January next year, Deadline reports.

The amount of the settlement has not been disclosed. However, the family has announced that no one will be prosecuted anymore and that the settlement has ended the investigation. Matthew Hutchins, the husband of the camera woman who was shot dead, will also be the executive producer of the film.

“I don’t blame anyone, don’t blame anyone,” says Matthew. “Everyone is convinced it was a terrible accident. I am grateful that everyone is coming together again to finish Halyna’s latest project.”

Baldwin accidentally shot Hutchins dead on the set of the movie Rust last year. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident but was allowed to return home after a short hospital stay. An initial police investigation revealed that Baldwin was given the weapon by the assistant director who said it was safe to use. The firearm turned out to contain a real bullet in addition to blanks.
