Seventeen people were found dead in a nightclub in the South African coastal town of East London on Sunday morning. That’s what local media writes. The cause is not yet known, people may have been oppressed or poisoned.
South African media call it a ‘bizarre incident’. A government spokesperson said bodies were found in the cafe without injuries. Police are currently investigating what exactly happened. The victims appear to have been oppressed, but poisoning is also being considered.

According to the police, it concerns young adult pub-goers between the ages of 18 and 20. Several families have gathered outside the pub because their children would not have come home on Saturday evening. They are afraid that their children are among the victims.
