Cuba Gooding Jr. was arrested in 2019 for sexual misconduct. The 54-year-old actor has now confessed for the first time that he kissed an employee of a nightclub in New York unsolicited in 2018.
Three women accuse Gooding of sexual assault. The actor, who won an Oscar for his role in the film Jerry Maguire, is also said to have pinched a woman’s buttocks and grabbed another woman by her breasts. “As if I were a piece of meat for dinner,” the victim said.
Although Gooding has only confessed to the unsolicited kissing, he apologized to some of the victims. In a statement, he said he never wanted anyone to feel uncomfortable with his touches. American media write that confessing to one case and the apology are part of a settlement that would allow him to avoid jail.

Previously, the actor denied all allegations. His lawyers said the “overzealous prosecutors had gotten carried away with the MeToo movement”. They would have made a crime out of ‘normal behaviour’. Gooding is also charged with rape. This is said to have happened in New York in 2013. There is a separate case against him for that.
