Drugs found in Thai monk’s luggage at Suvarnabhumi airport

Earlier, Crystal methamphetamine and numerous opioid patches were found in the luggage of a monk who was planning to travel to Australia.

The Crystal Methamphetamine (ice) was found in a monk’s pillow. The drug cushion and the other drugs were discovered by Customs at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The drugs were found in 2 packs and contained 490 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, found in an orange monk’s pillow embedded in religious paraphernalia.

The other package contained 845 grams of opioid patches, both packages were from Bangkok.

The Secretary-General of the ONCB (Thai Office of Narcotics Control Board) Wichai Chaimongkhon told that she had never found any drugs before.
