Elon Musk Is Ready To Buy Twitter For $44 Billion

Elon Musk has confirmed that he wants to buy Twitter for the same price he had previously offered. In July, he withdrew the $44 billion offer.

In April of this year, Elon Musk and Twitter agreed on $44 billion to acquire the platform. Moments later, however, the richest man in the world regretted that decision and decided to withdraw the offer. The reason then was that he would have found out that Twitter has far fewer human users than the platform claims and far more automated accounts or bots.

Since then, Musk and Twitter have been embroiled in a legal battle with the platform trying to keep Musk from the agreement. That case was supposed to start this month but now seems to be redundant because Musk still wants to stick to the agreement.

Bloomberg reported yesterday that Musk wants to continue the deal, possibly to avoid a lawsuit. That news hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Musk has fueled the rumours with a tweet saying, “Buying Twitter speeds up the process of creating X, the everything app,” he tweeted. Little is known about the X app, except that Musk wants to make an all-in-one app so that users do not have to switch between different apps constantly. Twitter would then become part of X.
