Elon Musk steps down as Twitter CEO: ‘I’m resigning’

Elon Musk will step down as CEO of Twitter once he finds a worthy replacement. The much-discussed CEO made this known via a tweet last night.

Musk said that he will continue to be involved with Twitter after finding a replacement. “I’m resigning as CEO as soon as I find someone dumb enough to take the job. After that, I’ll just run the software and server teams,” he tweeted.

Musk’s resignation comes after he asked in a poll whether he should leave as CEO of Twitter, the company he bought for $ 44 billion a few months ago. So Musk will keep his word as the majority of people (57.5 percent) voted that he should step down.

According to the American CNBC, Musk is already actively looking for a new CEO for Twitter. Since the much-discussed businessman took over the social media company, there has been chaos. For example, Musk fired more than half of the staff and made many choices based on the results of polls he held on the platform, such as reactivating Donald Trump’s account.

Journalists ‘ Twitter accounts were also blocked and linking to profiles on other social media platforms was prohibited. After much criticism, both changes were reversed, but it caused a lot of commotion among users.
