Finally: boxing match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury takes place February 25

Must read

It’s finally here; the date on which the fight between boxers Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will take place has been announced. After two canceled matches, the two will now really compete against each other in the ring on February 25. It is not yet known where the fight will take place

Sports journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to release the news yesterday. He Tweeted that the deal surrounding the fight is finally done. The two boxers would have faced each other twice before. In 2021, the fight was canceled due to an injury to Fury and last August there were problems with Fury’s visa, which prevented him from traveling to the arena. Paul eventually accused Fury of avoiding him. Although that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Jake Paul initially became known for his videos on YouTube, but today he is best known as a boxer. A few years ago he entered the ring for the first time against YouTuber and fighter AnEsonGib and won this fight. In the following years he fought five more times and won all these fights.

However, it is Paul’s first time against a professional boxer. He previously only fought against YouTubers or former MMA fighters. Whether Paul will face a professional boxer more often after the fight with Tommy remains to be seen. The former YouTuber wants to focus on MMA and he recently signed a contract with the MMA organization PFL.

Tommy Fury is the younger brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury. Fury has been boxing for about ten years and has never lost. He won all eight bouts at the highest level, including four by knockout.
