Financial difficulties drove man to commit suicide in Samut Prakan
A 26-year-old man jumped to his death from Bhumibol 2 bridge in Samut Prakan province this week.
His wife suspected the suicide stemmed from fear triggered by a financial crisis after becoming infected with the previously infected Covid19 virus.
The body was found floating on the surface of the water last night. A freight carrier reportedly landed and informed Samrong Tai police.
The remains were identified by his wife Kanmanee Ratsawang as those of Charoenchok Pentamwa.
The woman suspected that her husband had committed suicide for fear of the financial crisis. She explained that she had become infected with Covid19 and that his savings had been completely spent on treatment.
