Foreigners in Thailand warned about not wearing masks
Foreigners in Thailand who do not wear face masks when appearing in public will face prosecution, spokesman for the Covid19 Administrative Center, the CCSA, warned Apisamai Srirangson.
According to Dr Apisamai, many foreigners who have arrived in Thailand since the reopening have not worn masks as required and have also gathered in groups and at parties.
Dr Apisamai said this behaviour had led to more Covid19 transmissions, without being more specific???
Dr Apisamai reiterated the rules regarding face masks in Thailand, saying that people who do not wear face masks in public or at gatherings could face fines of up to 20,000 baht, including foreign tourists.
The message regarding the requirements to wear masks was also repeated at the end of yesterday’s English-language briefing from the CCSA.
