A forgetful local female truck driver has knocked over five utility poles after forgetting to lower the back of her truck.
Chonburi Main District Police were informed of the incident on a road in Nong Maidang sub-district in mid-afternoon yesterday.
Police arrived on the scene and found five power poles and power cables that had been pulled down on the ground
The truck in question was standing on the side of the road with the rear still unlocked and the cargo bed raised. A brand new car was damaged by falling power poles..
The local electricity had to be turned off for five hours while the technical service repaired the electricity poles and wires. Surprisingly, no injuries were reported.
Chonburi main district police said the truck driver is charged with reckless driving resulting in damage. The cost of the damage is estimated at at least a million baht.
