Four allegedly homeless men have been found dead on the streets of Bangkok, believed to be victims of the Covid19 virus

Social media users shared photos on Facebook yesterday of an unidentified man wearing a purple shirt and black pants, who reportedly passed out at 10:00 a.m. near Wat Bowonniwet temple in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district.

The rescue service arrived not much later but found that the man had already died.

The man was suspected to have died of the Covid19 virus, so the body was left on the street while waiting for specialist medical personnel, who did not arrive until 10 p.m. due to other urgent duties in the Kannayao district.

After the remains were collected, officials were called immediately to retrieve another body of a man who was found dead on the sidewalk on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue at 6 p.m. Also attached to this case was the preliminary diagnosis of a Covid19 infection, his body was also left there until specialized personnel in PPE outfits arrived at 22:30.

A news source revealed today that there were two other suspicious cases where they had been found dead on the streets of Bangkok – one in front of Lotus Rama IV in the Thong Lor district and the other on the sidewalk on Hathairat Road in the Khlong Toei district.

“The city authorities suspected they had all died of Covid19 virus and were homeless because they had no place to stay and no relatives have yet appeared to claim any of the bodies,” the source added.
