Players of Rockstar’s next game GTA 6 may be able to expect expansions for the single-player mode in the future. That is what GTA insider Tez2 claims, who often released information about the popular series.
The rumor about single-player DLC for GTA 6 has been around for some time. For example, game journalist Jason Schreier reported in a Bloomberg article late last month that he learned from sources close to Rockstar Games that the upcoming game would be set in a fictional version of Miami. In addition, new missions and cities are added through major updates that are released every so often.
Insider Tez2 is now claiming the same, saying that GTA 6 ‘s campaign mode will continue to expand like previous games, with the exception of GTA 5. The last game to receive such DLC was GTA 4 . Rockstar also reportedly planned to make single-player expansions for GTA 5, but due to the huge success of GTA Online, development was halted and the focus shifted to the online mode.
According to Tez2, Rockstar Games is going back to the ‘old normal’. To ensure that players can continue to have fun in the single-player mode, the expansions will be planned well before the release of GTA 6. In addition, the insider expects that Rockstar will also use the new environments for new missions in the online mode of the game.
Rumors about the story of GTA 6 have become more and more persistent in recent months. For example, several insiders claim that GTA 6 will have a female protagonist of Latin American descent for the first time in the series. She would be one of the two main characters in a story inspired by the bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.
