Hua Hin police have met nearly 100 restaurant owners and food vendors to warn them about violating the rules regarding the sale of alcohol.
The Hua Hin Chief Commissioner, Colonel Hong Phrom Wisitchanachai, and the Deputy. district chief Montri Manichpong has met with restaurant owners to tell them to abide by provincial regulations regarding alcohol.
Those who attended the meeting were told in no uncertain terms that they would be prosecuted if they served alcohol. Currently, only locations in Hua Hin and Nong Khae with SHA and SHA+ certification are allowed to serve alcohol.
The meeting was held after provincial officials recently announced they had been made aware of many locations serving alcohol in violation of current rules.
Previously, the provincial governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Dr Sathien Charoenruen, ordered a crackdown on sites in Hua Hin and across the province that violate the rules governing the sale of alcohol.
