Liverpool demands investigation into chaos surrounding Champions League final
Real Madrid won the Champions League final against Liverpool last night, but a lot went wrong in Paris from an organizational point of view. Especially outside the stadium, there was enormous chaos with thousands of fans unable to enter the stadium. Liverpool have now demanded an investigation.
The match itself was postponed for more than half an hour because there would be crowds around the stadium. Many fans with tickets did not enter the stadium and were also sprayed with tear gas by the police. Children would also have been affected.

The European Football Association, UEFA, has stated that many Liverpool supporters tried to enter the stadium with fake tickets. Liverpool already reacted to the chaos during the final. “We are deeply disappointed with the difficulties at the entrances and the absence of security,” the English club wrote in a statement on their website. “This is the biggest match in European football and supporters should not have the experience they have had here. We have officially requested that a formal investigation be launched into the causes of these unacceptable problems.”
