A man opened fire on homeless people in the Canadian city of Langley yesterday. Three victims were killed and another victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The gunman shot the four victims at different spots in Langley. For example, he opened fire on a homeless person at a shopping center, at a casino, at a housing complex and at a highway. The police report to the Canadian public broadcaster CBC that it was a targeted attack on homeless people. The shooting incidents are said to have taken place over a span of five hours.
Police sent an emergency message to all cell phones in the Vancouver area Monday morning, saying they were looking for a “white man with dark hair in brown overalls and a teal camouflage shirt.” Not much later it was announced that the suspect had died in a confrontation with officers.
