Nearly half of the Thai population fears the Omicron variant and is concerned about a new Covid19 outbreak

47 per cent of Thailand’s population is concerned about the Covid19 Omicron variant, as people have become more aware of wearing surveys in public areas, the latest Anamai Poll found.

The director-general of the Ministry of Health, Dr Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai, said the survey also found that 10.5 per cent of people were concerned about the government’s easing of several measures and reopening the country. could lead to a new outbreak, while 9.7 per cent feared that people would relax their vigilance by not wearing a mask, not keeping social distance and not washing their hands regularly.

Meanwhile, the November survey found that 94 per cent of the population always wore a face mask in public, 91.5 per cent washed their hands after touching something deemed unclean, and 86 per cent observed a social distancing of at least 1 per cent. -2 meters continued.
