True crime lovers pay attention: Netflix will soon be releasing a new Scandinavian crime series about Clark Olofsson. The man, who now lives in Belgium, has been called one of Sweden’s first ‘celebrity gangsters’.
SIX-PART MINISERIES
The six-part miniseries Clark tells the story of Clark Olofsson, a Swedish criminal who spent more than half of his life behind bars. He received sentences for attempted murder, assault, robbery and drug trafficking. Clark is best known for his involvement in one of the most famous bank robberies in Swedish history, in which four employees were taken, hostage.
STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
The Swedish criminal is also called the founder of the Stockholm syndrome. This is a psychological phenomenon where a victim develops feelings or sympathy for the hostage-taker.
