Not one but two pro-democracy protesters have been shot in the Din Daeng fracas, one of them in critical condition

As reported by a media outlet in Bangkok, the pro-democracy group ‘Thalu Fah’ had gathered at the Victory Monument Monday afternoon in an attempt to make their way to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s home to demand his resignation.

Bangkok riot police blocked the road for protesters in the Din Daeng area before a violent battle broke out.

According to Thai media reports, a 20-year-old protester was shot in the back of the head after protesters dispersed during the curfew. He immediately fell to the ground and was later taken to Rajavithi Hospital. According to reports, he is still in a coma.

At around 9:30 p.m., another protester was reportedly shot in the right arm, he is being treated at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital

Democracy supporters have criticized the police for using live bullets against protesters, although police representatives insist that only barriers, tear gas and rubber bullets were used during the confrontation.
