Although the Thai government has already relaxed lockdown measures, most visitors to Pattaya are still Thais mesne spending a weekend in this coastal town.
Business owners in this once vibrant coastal town have said they hope the government will reopen the kingdom soon, as Thai tourists’ earnings alone are not nearly enough to run their businesses responsibly.
Some hotel owners in Pattaya have claimed that room reservations are still relatively low due to lockdown policies recently changed without prior warning.
This has left business operators unsure whether they should reopen their businesses as people are still concerned about the pandemic. However, the entrepreneurs hope that the upcoming three-day holiday – September 24 – 26, will bring more tourists to Pattaya.
And added that almost every attraction in and around Pattaya has special offers to make it as attractive as possible to the tourists.
Entrepreneurs have suggested that the best way to revive Thai businesses is to reopen the country and welcome foreign tourists, as Thai tourists just don’t cover their employees and other operating costs.
