The provincial administration has opened five vaccination centers for the local population. The five centers are located in:

  • Phuket Airport (X-Terminal Building).
  • Jungceylon Patong Shopping Center.
  • Angsana Laguna Phuket Hotel.
  • Saphan Hin Gymnasium.
  • Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa.

Phuket Governor Khun Narong Woonciew announced at the beginning of this week the goal of vaccinating 100,000 people with two doses each by April.

“According to the government’s commitment, 300,000 more vaccines will arrive in May, 200,000 in June and 260,000 in July, bringing a total of 920,000 cans to Phuket,” he added.

The proposed “Sandbox Program” has now been approved by the National Tourism Board. This means that from 1 July, foreign tourists who have been vaccinated and tested negative for Covid19 virus can fly to Phuket without quarantine.

They can move freely on Phuket for the first seven days, after which they are allowed to leave the province if they use a mobile tracking app.
