Restaurants in Pattaya and other blue zones in Chonburi province are allowed to serve alcohol

The governor of Chonburi released new orders through the Public Relations Department on Facebook around 6:00 PM last night, allowing the sale of alcohol and drinks in the “blue zones” of Chonburi including Pattaya and Banglamung with immediate effect.

The blue zones in Chonburi include: Banglamung, Pattaya including Koh Larn, Si Racha, Koh Sichang, and for Sattahip only in Najomtien and Bang Saray sub-district.

The governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan said his province would also be ready to allow alcohol to be served with meals.

It is important to know that only restaurants in the blue zone and with SHA certificates are allowed to sell alcohol for consumption on site. Another detail is that alcohol sales are allowed from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, outside these hours the cork remains on the bottle.

These restaurants must clearly display their certificates (stickers on the front of their establishment.

For the time being, the evening catering industry, including nightclubs, pubs, bars, karaoke, soapies, will remain closed.
