Fatal accidents in Thailand involving the Russians are increasingly getting into reports of accidents with tourists at the resort
Two Russian citizens were killed in motorcycle accidents in Thailand, the fatal accidents occurred in the resort of Pattaya and Samui island

Thai driver admitted that he was very drunk when the fatal accident with a Russian citizen occurred.
Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon Rescue Service received a report of a vehicle collision on Soi Jomtien 11 around 1 a.m. on December 20. Arriving at the scene of the accident, rescuers found a Toyota Revo pickup truck with a broken bumper and its driver, local citizen Chayan Muhan, 34, who was unhurt.
Nearby, rescuers found a GPX motorcycle and the second person involved in the accident, who, according to Pattaya police, was a Russian citizen, 38-year-old Ivan Shaldin.
The Russian was in a serious condition, as he was bleeding and severely injured. Rescuers rushed the man to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya where Ivan died without regaining consciousness.
According to the driver of the pickup truck, he was intoxicated when a police officer told him to park elsewhere. As he was moving the car, the victim suddenly crashed into him. The driver stated that he was not sure he was in his lane when the collision occurred because he was drunk.
An eyewitness to the accident, 54-year-old Charas Wongsonthorn, said the driver of the pickup truck moved from where he parked his car and blocked the oncoming lane, causing him to be struck by the second person in the accident on a motorcycle.
The alleged drunk driver was taken to Pattaya Police Station for arraignment.
Motorcycle accident in Samui – Russian citizen Vladislav Kovcharuk died
Russian citizen Vladislav Kovcharuk, 25, died in a motorcycle accident on Koh Samui at night on December 16. The man died on the spot from head trauma and neck fracture. His passenger, whose name was not specified, was taken to Bangkok Hospital Samui, which is 200 meters from the accident site.
According to Thai media reports, the men were returning on a rental scooter from an entertainment venue and the driver lost control. The scooter was traveling at high speed and at one point hit a roadside curb, resulting in a fall and a tragic outcome.
