Senseless violence in Pattaya, 37-year-old man injured after allegedly being attacked by a group of men
A 37-year-old Thai man has suffered multiple injuries after allegedly being attacked by three men after a verbal dispute.
The Pattaya Police Department was informed of the incident, allegedly taking place at 20 Soi Bongkot in the Nongprue community.
When they arrived, they found 37-year-old Paraya Duangpakdee bleeding profusely on the road, Paraya was conscious and told the police and first responders what had happened to him.
Paraya stated the following: “I was attacked by three men whom I know before, but I would consider them only as acquaintances. They forced me to ride one motorbike from Soi Chaiyaphum, we stopped in Soi Bongkot to talk about problems we were having and they accused me of being a “snitch” and spying for the police about their alleged illegal drug activities.
This was not the case. They didn’t believe me and physically attacked me until I lay defenceless on the ground. They stole my backpack of personal belongings and drove off, leaving me on the road until a nearby resident saw me and called for help.”
Pattaya police said there are CCTV images nearby, which will be reviewed to determine exactly what happened in the incident. Officers did not say whether they believed Paraya’s version of the story was factual or not. Paraya was taken to a local doctor’s office for further assistance after making a statement to the police.
The police are looking for the violent trio!
