Thai Ministry of Health warns of the harmful effects of smoking marijuana and banned its use in public places
The Ministry of Health issued an official statement that the use of cannabis and cannabis for recreational purposes is prohibited in Thailand.
According to the statement, smoking cannabis or cannabis in public places is considered unacceptable because the smoke or smell can pose a health risk to others and lead to the risk of lung disease, as well as asthma and bronchitis.
Offenders face up to three months in jail and/or a fine of up to 25,000 baht.
