Pattaya Municipality is starting a new drainage project running from Soi 9 of Thepprasit Road to Jomtien Beach, closing the Soi for 120 days.
Pattaya Secretary Kiattisak Sriwongchai held a meeting yesterday to discuss the construction of the drainage system that would run from Soi Thepprasit 9 to Jomtien Beach.
According to Kiattisak, Pattaya City has hired a contractor, LB Engineering Company, to build a new drainage pipeline from September that would connect Soi Thepprasit 9 and Jomtien Beach for more effective flood control.
However, the project would disrupt traffic around the construction site, so there would be a temporary road closure from Jomtien Second Road, Soi 2, to the entrance of Soi 11 for 120 days.
Pattaya Municipality apologizes for the inconvenience.
