Survey shows that a majority of Thais are in favor of opening up the country

In a comprehensive survey by “Super Poll”, the vast majority of Thais are in favour of opening the country to foreign tourism.

In just under 120 days, Thailand should be fully accessible to vaccinated foreign holidaymakers.

91 per cent of national respondents approved the reopening plan. When asked about their fears, 96 per cent cited illegal entry by foreigners and noted that the government acted negligently in allowing migrants to cross Thailand’s borders.

More than 90 per cent are concerned about Covid19 infections in illegal nightclubs and new variants of the virus Nearly 93 per cent said gambling and drugs could exacerbate the pandemic 95 per cent want the government to make sure everyone gets their second dose of vaccine early next year

When asked, 85 per cent expressed concern about children’s two lost school years due to school closures and class interruptions. 1069 people from all social classes were interviewed from June 17 to 19 under the motto “Views of the country’s opening in 120 days”. The interviewees could give different answers to questions.
