Thai government launches new corona aid package

The government of Thailand is planning 7,000 baht to distribute a new aid package worth 225 billion baht under four million people with high purchasing power.

This is seen as a new phase of the “Khon La Khrueng” co-payment program.

To help millions of Thai victims through the latest wave of Covid19. The government will launch the “Ying Chai Ying Dai” program (the more you spend, the more you get) and will issue electronic vouchers in July to September to get started.

The aim is to stimulate the population to buy groceries, everyday products and services through the government’s electronic wallet. The program focuses on middle and high-income people to increase local purchasing power.  

Under the “Rao Chana” program, 32.9 million eligible individuals will receive 1,000 Baht every week for two weeks. The money can be spent until June 2021. 

Approximately 9.27 million social security members will receive an additional 1,000 baht each week under the “Rao Rak Kan” program for two weeks. issued.

13.7 million low-income people with social security cards receive 200 baht more per person per month for six months (July-December).  

The “Khon La Khrueng” supplement program continues for middle and high-income people, receiving 3,000 baht to buy food and other products, with the government paying half the cost. 

This program is expected to benefit approximately 31 million people. From May to June, homeowners and small businesses enjoy discounts on water and electricity bills.
