Over the past weekend, a Thai Youtuber was found dead after being hit on a railroad track in Pattaya after midnight.

Banglamung Police were notified of the incident at 0:30 yesterday, on the track at the intersection of Soi Siam Country Club in Pattaya.

Police and rescue workers arrived on the scene to find the body of a Thai man identified only as ‘Beer Apache’, a Thai Youtuber. His YouTube channel, which he maintained with several friends, posted a tribute to him after his co-creators learned of his shocking death.

The train came to a stop 100 meters away. The 56-year-old train driver, Prasert Changkep, was waiting for the police at the scene.

Prasert told the police: “I was on my way from Map Taphut to Si Racha. I saw someone on the track before I honked and immediately pulled on the brakes, but it was too late. He had been lying on the rails with cardboard under his body.”

Tada of ‘Est Rom Klao’, a friend of ‘Beer Apache’ and also a Youtuber, told the police: ‘He is actually my brother. We had been drinking heavily the night before while other friends were making content for YouTube. Beer seemed upset by something and then left alone without telling anyone where he was going.’

Banglamung Police are continuing their investigation and are unsure whether the incident was an accident at this time, whether Beer Apache had been knocked unconscious from alcohol or may have committed suicide. They will also assess CCTV in the area to determine the sequence of events.
