The administrative centre for the Covid19 containment, the CCSA has just made changes to the COVID-19 surveillance zones and the relaxation of some restrictions, which will take effect next Monday, June 21
All nightlife, pubs, bars and karaoke bars across the country will remain closed. Serving alcohol remains prohibited within the dark red, pink and orange zones.
The dark red zones are the zones where the measures are applied the most, such as Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.
There, gatherings of more than 50 people are prohibited in this zone, but dining is allowed until 11 PM, instead of 9 PM at the moment. Most diverse prospects can’t exceed half the venue’s full capacity in air-conditioned eateries, up from 25% right now.
Malls are allowed to be open until 9 pm and are not allowed to organize classes or on-site promotions that draw large crowds. All sports activity venues will remain closed, although outdoor sports venues and venues with air ventilation without spectators may remain open until 9 pm.
The variety of provinces categorized as pink zones can be reduced from 17 to 11. These now include Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Trang, Nakhon Pathom, Pattani, Phetchaburi, Songkhla, Samut Sakhon, Saraburi, Yala, and Narathiwat. Gatherings of more than 100 people remain prohibited there.
The variety of provinces within the Orange Zones can be reduced from 56 to just 9 provinces. These now include Chanthaburi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ayutthaya, Ranong, Rayong, Ratchaburi, Sa Kaeo and Samut Songkhram. Gatherings of more than 150 people remain prohibited there.
The Yellow Zones will include the remaining 53 provinces, while there are no provinces without risk of infection.
