Thailand reported 4,528 new infections last night, the second consecutive day of more than 4,500, and 24 deaths in a 24-hour period.
Of the new cases, 1,902 found in prisons were attributed, the health ministry reported Sunday morning.
About 2,933 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
