Starting today, the long-planned Jet Ski World Cup will be held in Jomtien, unfortunately, the organization announced yesterday that no spectators will be allowed on the site despite having previously built huge grandstands. .

Although the organizers have said they will not allow spectators in the stands, they will not be able to prevent people from gathering around and near the racetrack.
The event had previously been postponed due to the Covid19 pandemic, but dozens of Jet Skiers from all over the world entered Thailand and underwent quarantine to participate in the big jet ski event.
Although not on the schedule, entry-level runabout stock riders will begin qualifying today, Wednesday, April 21, officially kicking off the event. There are also a few more market vendors who will be selling officially licensed products in and around the event area near Jomtien Night Market, with social distance precautions. There will also be boats and jet skis on Jomtien Beach Road. Even the famous Tuliphouse on the beach road of Jomtien opens its doors early in the morning.
The event is almost entirely focused on racing this year and popular ‘extra’ events such as’ pretties (models), bikini competitions, stunt and freestyle shows, DJ nights, beach parties and similar events will not take place this year due to Covid 19.
The final of the professional racing event, the highlight of the championships, takes place on Sunday afternoon.
