If it’s up to Tom Holland, the Spider-Man movies will be a lot more diverse in the future. The actor tells People that he sees it best if, for example, a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman comes.

Tom Holland has been playing the role of Spider-Man since 2016. Last week, his third solo film Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, which was showered with positive reviews.

“I loved every minute of it,” said Tom in the interview. “I’m incredibly grateful to Marvel and Sony for the opportunity we’ve had, for keeping us working and growing our characters. I don’t want to say goodbye to Spider-Man, but I do feel like we might be ready for that.”

Still, the 25-year-old actor has feedback for the creators of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “In the future, I would like to see Spider-Man more diverse. Maybe there will be a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman,” says Tom. “We’ve had three Spider-Mans in a row and we’re all the same. It would be nice to see something different.”

After years of intensive work, the actor takes a break from acting. With the Spider-Man franchise up and running, for now, Tom will soon be appearing in the action movie Uncharted. After that, he can also be seen in the movie Fred Astaire“I want to take a break and focus on having a family. And think about what I want to do outside of the acting world.”
