Sunday saw two London heavyweights meet in the Premier League with Tottenham hosting Chelsea

Chelsea already from the starting seconds tried to score, but Lukaku ended up in an offside position. After that, “spurs” took control of the ball and began to actively operate at the opponent’s penalty area. Tottenham earned several corners, but could not score.

Chelsea intercepted the ball from time to time and tried to counterattack. Havertz had a chance to open the score, but after his strike, the ball hit Lukaku.

The first 25 minutes of the meeting, the home team put a lot of pressure and attack, though there were practically no really dangerous moments. Then the pace of the game slowed down a bit and Chelsea began to take the ball more in the center of the field, but in general the game was on an equal footing.

Before the break, the teams did not manage to open an account, and in the second half Tuchel decided to release Kante in order to diversify the game of his team. Kante immediately joined the game, helped develop a dangerous attack, and then Alonso shot under the crossbar, but Lloris parried.

However, already in the 49th minute, the Blues scored – Thiago Silva burst into the penalty area while serving from a corner, won the fight against Alli in the air and sent the ball into the net with his head – 0: 1.

A few minutes later, Tuchel’s wards were close to the second goal – Azpilicueta passed to Alonso, but Dyer blocked his shot. The Blues continued to put pressure, and this still led to a goal. Kovacic saw Kante, who struck – the ball caught Dyer and ended up in the net – 0: 2.

Nuno Espirito Santo began to make changes in the line-up and for a while Tottenham managed to take control of the ball, but it never came to shots on goal. There were some good attempts to break through, but the Chelsea defenders did a great job.

Tuchel’s players were creating more and more chances at the gate of Lloris. So, in the 78th minute, Lukaku did not begin to punch himself, but gave the opportunity to break through to the substitute Werner, but Timo frankly failed to strike.

And then Chelsea created three magnificent chances in one minute, but still Lloris and the defenders managed to fend off this attack. Closer to the final whistle, Lukaku became more active, but he could not score. But Rüdiger succeeded in stoppage time.

After serving from a corner, the Chelsea players were overpassed on the right flank, then Werner found Rüdiger in the center of the penalty area and gave him the ball – Antonio calmly sent the ball into the net – 0: 3.

Thus, Chelsea won a landslide victory in the London derby and topped the Premier League standings with 13 points. Tottenham, with nine points, dropped to seventh place.
