Two men injured after stabbing a woman in Sri Racha

Two men have been injured after an argument between the ex and the current husband in the life of a young woman in Sri Racha escalates into a stabbing. Emergency services were notified of the incident in Surasak sub-district.

Emergency teams arrived and found an injured man, 23-year-old Khemmarat Suwannachot. He was bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds. After basic medical treatment at the scene, he was rushed to a hospital for further medical attention.

Sukanya Thongkot, 27, told police: “My ex-husband, Eakkachai Wongklang, broke up with me about a month ago. He and our 7-year-old son, who lives with Eakkachai, came to my house to collect clothes and personal belongings he had left behind.”

“My new friend, she was home. The two men immediately started arguing, which then escalated into a knife fight. My ex-husband (Eakkachai) was the first person to attack with a knife, slashing my current one before driving away.” so said the woman.

Sri Racha Police was later informed by another local hospital that Eakkachai had reported himself for medical treatment with head and arm injuries, but was not nearly as seriously injured as Khemmarat.

Sri Racha Police went to the hospital where Eakkachai was being treated and he was taken into custody for further legal action. Officers familiar with the investigation said they are studying Sukanya’s statement that Khun Eakkachai for being the first to bring out one.
