Using this pedestrian bridge in Thonburi could cost you your life

Must read

Users of a pedestrian bridge in Bangkok’s Thonburi district are urging the city authorities to remove live electrical wires from the stairs and other parts of the bridge as soon as possible.

Ratchanok Srisawat, who uses the bridge often, said these wires have been there for several years and no city officials showed up to remove them.

She said pedestrians are at risk of being electrocuted, especially during the rain.

Another local resident, Weerapat Burapha, said he was too afraid to touch the metal railing for fear of being electrocuted. He also said the bridge was too dark and unsafe at night and the government should take steps to improve the bridge.
